This is a terrific research question. Google has begun another beta test to aid in meeting its customer’s needs. As a result, Google has started a very limited test where they add additional links for a Web site based upon the information Google knows about the site.
A good example would be entering “head hunters” as your query. Headhunters.com is retunred in the first position with additional links for the site under the returned result.
According to an insider at Google, “From the information Google knows about this site (business nature), Google provides some convenient links together with the search result. Usually when Google wants to launch a new service, we just start with a low percentage of queries and monitor the outcome before we massively apply it to the world – for obvious reasons, the turn-on queries are kind of random and not limited to No. 1 results – it’s a coincidence in the case of Headhunters.com”
